Should I forgive or not?
This one dilemma will be in our mind when our heart is about to stop thinking about that act that caused damage to us in any which way. At that moment, a lot of anguish will be in us. And extreme enmity will form against that person. And sometimes, the degree of the harm is lesser. But still, it creates an unpleasantness.
After some days, the angry on them will calm down because of various reasons like the person may come for an apology or maybe they didn’t want to hurt you, but the situations make that happen. And sometimes, they are highly emotional, and they are not conscious of what they are doing at that moment, and this is most frequently happens when someone hurts us.
Now, How to look at this.
A person will hurt us in three different ways. The first one is intentional. The second one is non-intentional, and the third one is not aware of their intention. For a moment, leave the first case and let us see the second and third cases.
See, every person has their understanding of a particular situation, and they act according to that, but in our perceptive, it may be different. And due to these differences, it will hurt us. Now, if you understand the differences you can forgive the person.
A couple will go through a lot of misunderstandings, and it is quite a natural thing. No two people are the same. Now, if a fight happens between the couple, one may lose their patience, and they lose their tongue which will hurt the other. And this will happen when they are not conscious of what they are saying. If they come to apologize you can forgive them.
Now the first one mostly comes from our enemies. In my view, I will forgive and forget their existence. It is better for our mental health than holding that grudge.
And one important thing you should also notice is, you need to be very careful when you forgive someone. Some people are salt, but they act like sugar. So, be wise enough to forgive someone.
